A Team not Picked

We Play a Divisional Competition each year, this year because some of our A team couldn't play the first game other players were picked,
Now we have some so called Very Good A team players sulking because we have won our first game without them
This Competition is for the Club not Just the A team its causing all sorts of problems, this Competitions has never been won you would think a change would be Welcomed.

Some Players think they are Cats Whiskers and the Club cant do without them, it good to give other member a chance.

One of the big problem in bowls, each member plays the fee for the year but some bowlers get all the games some very little. have seen supposedly top bowlers playing twice in unimportant club fixtures whilst a bit on fairness they could be shared around!!

No wonder we get fringe bowlers move Clubs:mad:

Hi All, think one of the problems is that in my club there are less friendlies and touring sides, so far less games for less experienced bowlers to take part in and of course there are those bowlers who think they are indispensable and that is another big problem!!!!

No easy answer, a rota system has recently been introduced to keep bowlers at our club to early to see if it's going to work!!!!

We have Very Good Bowlers who never get into any of the Competitions that represent the Club,
Problem is Selection always put themselves in Men as well Women then you have the Captains,


You got it that the team and a few of the favorites get places
Spoke to one Chap he said he didn't belong to the Inner Circle in the Club or the Outer Circle

We are in a right pickle with this Competition the date had to be changed so a lot of the original players could not play and the Best A team players refused to stand back in because they were not picked in the first place,
I believe there is going to be a meeting what a lot of fuss over nothing noses put out comes to mind,


Any way we put in a team on Sunday with all sorts of Bowlers playing out of place and WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT WE WON, and are now in the divisional finals HURRAY our captain looked like a Cheshire cat

First time in a good many years we have won this Competition about time they put in some of the Good Club Bowlers in These Competitions might win more
