Mixed Bowling Clubs

Do you have mixed bowling clubs there?

Most of the out-door bowling clubs here have amalgamated, due to decreasing members.

Bit like that at ours, our clubs are all mixed, Know one in Plymouth Sir Frances Drake, it used to be men only not sure how it worked, they would allow one woman to sit at the top of the tabel to pour the tea, when they :Dapplied for a lottery grant, they had to give the ladies equal rights, or they would not get any cash, guess what ladies, we got equal rights. :D:D

Got separate changing rooms, separate clubs would seem a bit strange, love playing against the men, especially when one of our girls wins, lot of shouting and mickey taking great days.:D

Yes nearly all mixed in our part of the world!!! although the women stuggle against the men!!!! (only joking)!!!!

Is this one of the best settings of any Bowling Club?

Yes E T there is somebody here, wish we had a view like that at our club, got a bar, which makes all the difference, do get a few touring teams, think England has all mixed clubs, could be wrong if any body knows of one let us know.:D

Cant see men's only clubs, we would have no one to make our teas, just joking ladies, know one club where the ladies refuse to make teas for the men's league games, the men started a tea rota, b team makes tea for the a, d makes tea for the c, works really well.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

One of the bosses at my work belongs to the Auckland Bowling club which is a very old club and still all men. But they let ladies join as social members.

i remember playing in a mixed sweep (wappenschaw) and when i went to deliver my bowl this lady used to start whistling like a canary, so i took her to the side and said if you dont stop doing that i will put you over my knee and spank yer bum,to which she replied that would be nice,,,naughty or what,i think we lost that game,concentration went out the window:)

Morning everyone, like this tale think i shall try whistling, every year we play the men in the club, just a fun game, last year all the lady skips got together, and decided to run up the green following their woods, like the men, it was hilarious, they hitched up the skirts, knees going in the air, the men didn't know what hit them, nobody could bowl for laughing, we won easy.:D:D

Not sure if i should tell you this, probably been tried a few times, its so simple, it might be worth a try, if you can get your hands on the mens woods, and change the stickers around, not all of them only a few, could be interesting to see the reaction, as they go across the green, hope no one finds out it was me who told you this.:rolleyes:

you women are devious, never thought you would do things like this, shall keep a close eye on things if i play against an all ladies team, could be thats why i keep getting beat, mind you her indoors is crafty as well.
