Found out this week who is going to be in my league team for next year, and I am not happy played a few games with her last year and she is the most annoying person, has anyone ever had someone who is a useless Bowler trying to give you lessons during a game ???
When we lost she had the affront to say nobody played well what a cheek I had a cracking game and she didn't have one wood in the head all game,
I am going to have to put up with this for a whole Summer only option I have is not to bowl don't know what I am going to do,

Any Advice People:confused:

Hi Angel,

Quite an common issue especially with lesser bowlers who are struggling, found comments like 'none of us had a good game' 'same place as my woods', 'not a player among us', very annoying don't think there is much you can do.
If you end up saying something it up sets your own game, think somehow you have to do the near impossible and ignore it!!!

Maybe just laugh at the comments???

Not easy negative comments from own team, have found over the years that you get use to it from lesser players (not always) and ignore it.

Never worth complaining as often these types can't help them selves.

I could write a book on this subject hate playing with people who think they know everything about bowling played yesterday in a Club four

Competition and my number two started giving me instructions on how wide a green etc, I should be taking this went on the whole game we lost

4-- 27 and gave up after seventeen ends, have never been so glad to get off a rink (EVER)

I do know I shall never enter a competition with her again am still fuming i should have said something,

Traveled back from Bowling last week and you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife our lead did exactly the same thing and he ended up having a very heated argument on the green with the number three,
Did get a bet personal they still haven't spoken to each other, we have another game next Wednesday going to be an Interesting one,

Got a few down here in Cornwall who move from Club to Club and its all to down to Selection,
They thinks they should be Skipping when they are well past the sell by date if they don't get picked for A team Positions they move Club,
Get onto Committee and cause trouble should be a law that you have to belong to a Club for two years before this happens,

Hi Angel I have found out that when you are picked to play with certain annoying team mates, you have got to get on with it someone has

got to play with these Bowlers and you cant go around picking who you want in your team it would causes all sorts of problems,

I played a Club Triples yesterday and have you ever played against a team when they are winning they all giggle and go over the top,

I could have throttled them no need to gloat and rub it in when they were winning,

Only way to shut them up was to come back and beat them which we did in the second half, never seen a team go so quiet,

Why do people act like this there is no need,

Hi Blondie,

Think this is something you have to get use to in all sports often nerves or relief from weak teams!!!!!!

Mind you blinking annoying to lose to a bunch of smarmy gigglers!

Are you sure you wont miss all the hassle makes the Summer go by
Ive thought very seriously this year about not renewing my membership,I went to the Spring Meeting last week and ended up coughing up my cash for another year its gone up to sixty five quid,
It all depends which team I get picked to play for could end up buying a fishing rod and joining you,
If I wanted a peaceful Hobby I'm not going to get in down the Bowling Club.

Know what you mean Wrong Bias If I stopped Bowling I'm not sure what I would do, its my friends that keep me in the Club and I can always phone someone up and have a chat, wouldn't miss all the back biting and bitching,
Thought you wouldn't talk to me again :( have been thinking I would have to read up on your hobby of fishing so I could talk to you,

Bye for now Angel:D

Hi Kiwi Bowler

Got the answer to your problem a large Gag or sticking plaster, on a serious note you cant have people going off in a Tantrum and Swearing epically when its of a personal nature, I'm sure your Club Committee will take it seriously will be interesting to see what they do,
Any Idea what sort of action they will take,

Angel:rolleyes:

Hi Angel, no, not heard a thing from the committee? Played bowls last Thursday, hoping to talk to the club captain but he wasn't there.

I'm playing in a Club Pairs event this Saturday and I see the person I complained about is also playing, so it could be interesting if we play each other!

Been reading your post Wrong Bias I never thought that their were fishing Clubs I always had the idea that people who fished were sort of Individuals who liked being on their own and spent most of the day with their rod in the water,
Never gave it much thought do you have competitions and meet up to chat,

You are very Wicked Wrong Bias but I could get tempted with the gin and tonic, not so sure about the tank, might never get out again,
I never realized you had fishing Clubs either I though you just got in touch with friends who liked to fish and spent days out together, puts a whole new light on Fishing as a hobby,
Do you get any of the trouble with your Fishing Club Members that you do when you Belong to a Bowling Club,

Bye for now Angel:D

its the same in all clubs theres always one or two ,but in fishing you just go in a different boat or opposite bank, you can ignore them easier than a bowling club,:) bottoms up:)

:roll:I am so lost for words its taken me all this time to reply, are you going fishing today I was wondering what sort of fish do you hope to catch , I still cant get my head around someone sitting most of the day trying to catch a fish then throwing it back, without taking it home for supper,
I have finished Bowling Indoors but already my Outdoor Club has sent out the Cleaning and Tea duties for this Season getting more like a job than a Hobby.

Angel Fish still hoping to get caught :D:p I wouldent swim very fast

not fishing this week, next week, sons home on leave so four of us are going to a new water near glasgow, new for us that us.and its rainbow trout we are after, have caught nine this year, and averaging 3 to 4ibs each you would need a large freezer to put them in,so catch and release is a good option,i would rather catch an angel fish though:)

Angel
03-27-2010, 11:36 PM
Help got to weigh more than a rainbow trout I don't fancy being put into a freezer something nice and soft where i could snuggle in would be better a nice double quilt where I could wiggle my toes, Perfect

Angel Fish might spend all day nice and warm,
