advice on how to fire

Any advice would be helpful, as a new bowler I have watched with envy, as my skip fires at the head and takes out shots, when I try my woods go sideways and miss everything, No one seems to be able to tell me how they do it, is it just practice or do you twist the wood in some way to get so accurate, any suggestions many, thanks Mary

Mary I would definitely not try to fire, it can ruin your game, only very experienced skips, should try this practice, and only as a last resort, what you need to do is practice drawing, keep moving the mat which will give you more experience with different lengths, practice makes perfect good luck.
